Christian House Rug

Product information

Description

This beautiful award has been adapted from a Frank Lloyd Wright design for The John and Catherine Christian House in Lafayette, Indiana. Also known as Samara (named after a pinecone’s winged seeds), the John and Catherine Christian House was completed in 1954 toward the end of his illustrious career. The samara seed pattern also appears on a rug commissioned by Professor Christian in the 1990s and designed by Taliesin’s Aris Georges and Cornelia Brierly.
